
Sinj is a town in Croatia within the Split-Dalmatia County. It is the center of Sinj and Cetina region. According to the 2011 census, the administrative area of the city had 24,826, and the city itself 11,478 inhabitants.[2]
Sinj is known in Croatia and beyond for the Sinj Alka, a knight's game that has been held in Sinj since the beginning of the 18th century as a sign of victory over the Ottoman invaders, and the shrine of Our Lady of Sinj.
